When we got home from work today, Vlad was backing into the driveway when he suddenly stopped. He was like, “Oh No…” I turned around an looked at our parking spot, and there was a dead kitten.
I don’t know if we had run it over when we left for work, or if one of our neighbours ran it over, but it looked pretty fresh, so I hope it wasn’t us. It was a little kitten, looked like it had just left it’s mommy. Needless to say, this ruined my night. Give your kitties an extra cuddle tonight.
Also, my scarf is done, blocked and all, and I am very happy with the results. I loved the yarn Incense by Elann. It is so silky soft. I will be using again for sure.

I finished my Serpentina. I am just blocking it now, but it should be done by the time I get home from work.
I can’t wait for it to get cold enough for me to wear this. More to come when I can try on the finished product!

Ok…so I was sitting here all by myself at about 11:30 at night watching a semi-scary movie, when all of the sudden, my power goes out. I got so scared, I almost crapped my pants. My first instinct was to look out the window to make sure it wasn’t a psycho killer that had cut my power to come and slice me up and that everyone else was out too. To my great delight, my entire field of vision was dark. I am not going to be hacked into a thousand pieces! Yay!
So now I had to try to remember where I put the flash light. “On top of the Fridge!”, I say out loud to myself. Its pitch black in my place, and I can’t see a thing, so I have to maneuver myself through my living room to my kitchen totally blind. I trip over a slipper that I left laying around, and each of my cats, and knock over an open bottle of water I left on the coffee table. I get to the fridge and the flash light is not there. EFF! I then remember I have a candle lighter in one of my kitchen drawers. I scuffle over to the drawer and with my eyes closed, because I can feel things better that way, I finger through the drawer. Success! I find the lighter. I light it, but it will not light! I try several times, and start to panic. Is this some kind of cruel joke? What the hell!
Right before I am ready to run out of my house and take off down the street, screaming in terror, I remember there should be a box of matches in that drawer too. I find them, but am now shaking too much to light the candle. I finally do, and can see again!
Moral of the story, lay off the scary movies and the caffiene. And keep a flashlight by the couch

I had some major issues with this site, and basically lost everything last night. I was able to recover most of it, but I am still missing some of my pictures. So if you see a past blog post that seems to be missing pictures, that is why.

I am ready to admit that I am addicted to the internet. I have recently joined ravelry.com and I can’t seem to stay away. It is an online knitting/crocheting community like nothing I have seem before. I am LOVING it.
I am currently working on 3 knitting projects. The most recent, I started today called Serpentina. You can find the pattern here on Ravelry (I think you have to be a member). It’s a lacy scarf and I really love the way it looks. This is the yarn I bought for it:
It arrived today, and it is so soft, and I love it. I have a little dilemma, a couple years ago I purchased a domain name with the plans of having a knitting blog, but then I started this blog, and I don’t know if I should have a separate knitting blog, or just keep one general purpose blog. I already have a website that I am setting up for our wedding, and I really don’t think that I can handle three different sites. I have a hard enough time posting to this on regularly. I just feel bad to let theknittyprofessor.com go to waste. But I think I just answered my own question.
