Well, I finally took the plunge and got the Blackberry Storm. I had wanted this little baby since I first heard whispers about it on the net. But after reading many poor reviews, I was hesitant to get it. But then after searching a little bit longer, I found some really positive reviews, so I was encouraged. I was eligible for a phone upgrade, and wanted a phone that could access the internet with ease. I am a blackberry person, and my employer offers a spectacular plan for blackberries, so I knew I wanted another one, and didn’t want to go the route of the iPhone. I had been using the 8830 World Edition for 18 months and really liked it, except for the fact that the small screen made it less then optimal for internet browsing.
After a couple of weeks of going back and forth between upgrading or not, I decided that I would go for it. Besides, I still have the 8830, which is only 6 months old due to an issue with the first one I had. So, I knew that if I absolutely hated the Storm, I could revert back to the trusty 8830. I don’t think this is going to be an issue.
I got the Storm yesterday, and I am already in love with it. I absolutely love it. I love the tactile touch screen, the slim design, the brilliant display. I love that I can integrate my Lotus Notes inbox and calendar. I love this BlackBerry. Only time will tell if it will continue to amaze.
In Wedding news, everything is really ready to go. I have an appointment for my make-up trial, I found a hairdresser and my dress is at the seamstress. I still need to make an appointment with the DJ, get together with the officiant, buy Vlad’s ring, buy the groomsman gifts, get Vlad to the tux store to get fitted, organize the rehersal dinner.
In TTC news, this is officially my last cycle that we are not “officially” trying to conceive! Next cycle, after the wedding, it will be full speed ahead with the baby making!!! I am beyond thrilled! Soooooo excited!

I have a confession to make. I love the Duggars! Well, I don’t love them per se, but I do love watching their show. If you have been living under a rock, and don’t know who the Duggars are, click here. Now, I don’t agree with their way of life, or their ideologies, or the fact that their brood could make up their own sports team, but my guilty pleasure is that I can’t get enough of anything Duggar. I can’t explain this.
When Joshua, the eldest duggar, got married to Anna Keller in September of last year, they pledged to God to have as many children as he would bless them with. So I have been patiently waiting for Anna to get knocked up. Waiting, waiting…searching the internet for any news…but nothing…until today!
This morning, the Duggar clan appeared on the Today Show to make a special announcement. Anna Duggar is pregnant! Yay! I am truly happy for this young (very young at only 20) couple. This is probably all she has ever wanted in her entire life. On the Today Show appearance, Anna Duggar was glowing. She looked so happy and so in love with her husband. I cannot wait until I can feel this joy, even though I am 9 years their senior. Anna told the world that she is 3 months pregnant, and is feeling great! She is due on October 12, 2009. I must say that the Duggar girls are looking a lot prettier these days. They are all beautiful girls, but they looked dated and “amish-esque” with their hair permed and parted. They have been wearing their hair straight lately, and looking rather ‘normal’. Even Anna has improved since she married Josh. She is still sporting the plastered down part though. Now if we could only get them to toss the frumpy denim skirts and put on a pair of jeans, we’d be in business. At least they are not donning the multicoloured, matching, horrible, “pilgrim-esque” dresses a la the Bates girls. Le sigh…baby steps…baby steps.

I am in countdown mode now. There are now:
50 days until we get married!
50 days until we start TTC!
53 days until we go to Jamaica on our honeymoon!
85 days until we go to Mexico for Vlad’s brother’s wedding.
205 days until Halloween
I am getting so excited to finally be married. I have been waiting soooo long to get married. I just cannot believe that in 5o days, Vlad and I will be trying to conceive our first child. I am beyond thrilled that the time has finally come, well almost. 50 days should pass by in a breeze.
This past year has been gearing up for pregnancy. I been losing weight, and getting healthy. I have been taking prenatal vitamins to make sure that I have enough in me when I conceive. I quit smoking almost two years ago. I don’t even know what I will do with myself after I get pregnant. I feel like I have spent that last 6 years with every thought engrossed in having a baby. I think I may be bored. I have so many fears about this. I am so scared we will have problems conceiving. I am scared that because we waited so long, and I am 29, that we will have problems. I guess I won’t know until we start trying.
