I am back from Mexico! The trip was fun, but I was happy to come home. The mosquitoes were unbelievable! I got eaten alive. The mojitos were delicious and plentiful. I made some new friends as well. Vlad’s bro’s wedding was beautiful. The bride was beautiful, the food was great, the surroundings were tropical and everything was amazing. Here are some pictures:
However, I would not recommend going to Dreams Tulum. Here are the reasons why:
- The mosquitoes. This may not be the resorts fault, but they were unusually vicious. They need to spray or something.
- No reservations for restaurants. This makes waiting times of 1.5 hours plus.
- The beach. It may look beautiful, but the first 6 feet or so of water is covered with sharp rocks making it very painful to get into the water and out to the sand parts. The water is not clear either and is full of sea weed. Ugh.
- The layout of the resort. It is HUGE. We had to walk 10 minutes from our room to the beach.
- It is expensive for Mexico
- It is a Wedding Factory. There are at least 3 weddings a day.
- The bar closes at 1:00am
- No alcohol in rooms except for 3 Coronitas (very tiny Corona’s). This makes partying pretty difficult.
- Two restaurants are closed each night. Usually the French and Italian.
P.S. – No march baby for us. Hoping for one in April now.
