Christmas

Day 2

by noelle on November 2, 2008

Today is the second day of 30 days of posting. It’s pretty late in the day already, but I had to wait until my new favourite show, True Blood, was over. I really love this show. There are only three episodes left, and I don’t know what I am going to do when it is over. The good thing is that they already signed on to do a second season, so I won’t left with a cliffhanger ending one and only season, a la My So-Called Life (le sigh).

Today I went and got new wood blinds for my living room. The aluminum ones were all bent out of shape by my cats. The would crawl through them when they were closed. These ones look much better than the white aluminum ones.

I mentioned yesterday that I had put out my Christmas decorations, so here are some pics of my apartment, all decked out (you can see the new blinds in the picture below):

November 1st

by noelle on November 1, 2008

Today I woke up and started taking down the Halloween decorations in my house. When I was done, the house looked so sad, so blah. It depressed me. I decided that I would get out the Christmas decorations and get started. Hey, if the stores, i.e. the malls can bust out their Christmas decorations in October, I surely can put mine out on November 1st. I mean, there are some things I will not do yet, like the window lights and the outdoor decor, but that doesn’t mean I can’t go all out inside my place. I am almost done with everything except the Christmas Tree. I will do that later. Maybe even later tonight. Some people say that I am crazy, but I just love Christmas lights.

I have made quite a bit of progress on my baby blanket. I would say I am probably about 40% done now. It is a rather easy pattern to follow. No counting rows or stitches, and once you’ve done one square, you don’t even need to look at the pattern anymore, except to figure out the colour pattern, and which square to do next. I just absolutely love how this blanket looks. It is so cute! Here it is so far:
