I finished my Serpentina. I am just blocking it now, but it should be done by the time I get home from work.
I can’t wait for it to get cold enough for me to wear this. More to come when I can try on the finished product!

I am ready to admit that I am addicted to the internet. I have recently joined ravelry.com and I can’t seem to stay away. It is an online knitting/crocheting community like nothing I have seem before. I am LOVING it.
I am currently working on 3 knitting projects. The most recent, I started today called Serpentina. You can find the pattern here on Ravelry (I think you have to be a member). It’s a lacy scarf and I really love the way it looks. This is the yarn I bought for it:
It arrived today, and it is so soft, and I love it. I have a little dilemma, a couple years ago I purchased a domain name with the plans of having a knitting blog, but then I started this blog, and I don’t know if I should have a separate knitting blog, or just keep one general purpose blog. I already have a website that I am setting up for our wedding, and I really don’t think that I can handle three different sites. I have a hard enough time posting to this on regularly. I just feel bad to let theknittyprofessor.com go to waste. But I think I just answered my own question.

There comes a point in every summer where I become totally sick of the warm weather, and can’t wait for fall to come, so I can bust out the sweaters and scarves! Fall is by far my favourite time of year. It just so happens that my birthday, and favourite holiday take place in the fall as well. I love the smell of the fallen leaves, the warm coffees or hot chocolates, and of course HALLOWEEN! Anyway, at the time when I get sick of summer, I usually start knitting again. Well I started again yesterday.
I don’t know if I ever mentioned this, but knitting is my favourite hobby by far, and one of the only ones that I started, and continued doing. Don’t ask about the scrapbooking fiasco. How did I start knitting you ask? I was at Zellers one day about 5 years ago and decided that I wanted to knit. I bought the necessary supplies, and went home. I then learned to knit from the internet. I knit differently than most, using a technique called combination knitting. You can check out this technique by googling it, or checking out http://www.anniemodesitt.com/ I find that with this way of knitting, stitches are much more consistent, and it is mucho faster.
Anyhow, I picked up my needles again and started working on this sweater that I absolutely adore. I can’t wait to wear this one, and I hope it turns out. I have never knitted a yoke sweater before!
