I have complained before about not having anything to watch while I worked out. Well, finally, after starting to watch MSCL again for the 5th time now, I decided I needed something else to watch. So I purchased Friends on DVD. Not as good of a show as MSCL, but there are like 9 or 10 seasons or something like that, so it gives me a lot to watch. I think I still may finish MSCL…it’s a weakness.
My dad had a heart attack on Sunday. He started having chest pains and his arms and jaw started to ache. He told my mom, and she thought that it sounded like heart problems, so she gave him some aspirin and my brother took him to the hospital. They did the blood work and his enzymes showed that he had indeed had a minor heart attack, but he was still having chest pains and his heart rate was hovering around 40 bpm which was alarming. He stayed like that overnight, and in the morning, they did an angiogram. They found that one of his arteries was 99% blocked. By luck, the doctor that does the angioplasty happened to be in the hospital, so they did it right away since they already had him all set up. Usually the patient waits an average of a week to get this done. They were able to clear out the blockage, and they put a stent in his artery. Medicine is so cool.
He will be in the hospital for another couple of days, and then he will be able to go home.
I have to say that I am truly happy that I live in Canada, and that my mother and father did not have to stress out about how to pay for this, or how much their insurance would cover. When you go to the hospital here, the government picks up the tab. It is comforting to know that if anything happens to me or any of my loved ones, that there is one less thing to worry about.
In other news, Vlad and I had our engagement pics done on Saturday. I have not seen them yet, but I think they turned out really well. I will be able to see them sometime next week. I cannot wait!
I am running out of things to watch when I work out. When I first started, I would watch 45 minutes of a movie each time I worked out until it was done, but it didn’t workout right all the time and I would have to stop working out to switch dvds. Then I ordered the first and only (cries) season of one of the best shows to ever be on television, ‘My So-Called Life’.
If you haven’t seen My So-Called Life then I must tell you that, even though there is only one season, of 19 episodes that ends with a cliff-hanger (they did not know they were being canceled), that you need to watch this show. It is awesome! It stars a 15 year old Claire Danes and Jared Leto. You need to watch this show.
Anyways, each episode is 47 minutes long, so it worked out perfectly, and because I loved watching it so much, it motivated me to workout everyday. But that only lasted 19 days, as there are only 19 episodes. So after ‘My So-Called Life’, I ordered the 3 seasons of another great show, ‘Roswell’. That one was great as it lasted longer. My only complaint is that somewhere from 1994 when ‘My So-Called Life’ aired to 1999 when ‘Roswell’ aired, they added more commercials or something, because each episode was only 43 min long. When I was done ‘Roswell’, I didn’t know what to do, so I started watching My So-Called Life again (yes, I love it that much). Now I am 4 episodes away from the end. I don’t know what I am going to do. I can’t even repeat Roswell, as I lent it to my sister. I really want to find another show, with many seasons, so I can watch it for a long time. I still have not got over the cancelling of My So-called life. Booooo. Anyway, here is some My So-Called Life, for your viewing pleasure:
I am a almost 31 year old, twin loving, photography loving, obsessed with knitting, scrapbooking, craft crafting, Halloween loving ordinary girl. I am married to my best friend and soul-mate and I am a mommy to boy/girl twins. I couldn't be happier! I am thankful for my life. I love living! I have been blessed!
