35 Weeks

Today I am 35 weeks, 3 days pregnant.  At most, I will be pregnant for 2.5 more weeks!  I can’t believe that I am going to meet my babies soon!

I went for my weekly biophysical and NST today, and they babies looks great and got perfect scores!  Here is my belly pic from this week.  I am huge and getting bigger by the day!

Update

Wow!  I kind of abandoned this blog.  It has been a long time since I posted, and I think it is time for a much needed update.  Well, the biggest news that I have to share is that I am 34 weeks pregnant with twins!  Yep, that’s right…TWINS!!!

We found out in the beginning of August that I was pregnant!  It was the most exciting thing I have ever experienced.  After trying for a year, we were finally going to have a baby!

 

When I was 9 weeks pregnant, we went to the doctor for our first ultrasound, and discovered that we were expecting two sweet little babies.  Both measured on track and had strong heartbeats.

 

We were both really excited!  At our anatomy scan we were told that we were have a boy and a girl!  What a great gift!  Here are a couple of profile picks of the two.  They were done at different times, but we never get good pics of both at the same time.

Currently, I am 34 weeks pregnant and HUGE!  We are hoping to make it to 38 weeks.  I can’t believe that in a maximum of 4 weeks I will be meeting my daughter and my son.  I am over the moon.  Here are my belly pics that I took so far.  I haven’t kept up with them like I wanted to, but what can you do.  The first pic is 4 weeks.

Anyway, that is my big update! I hope to post more regularly now, but we will see. I think I am going to be pretty busy soon! I am so happy, and so thankful for these babies!

Anna Duggar Pregnant!!!

I have a confession to make.  I love the Duggars!  Well, I don’t love them per se, but I do love watching their show.  If you have been living under a rock, and don’t know who the Duggars are, click here.  Now, I don’t agree with their way of life, or their ideologies, or the fact that their brood could make up their own sports team, but my guilty pleasure is that I can’t get enough of anything Duggar.  I can’t explain this.

When Joshua, the eldest duggar, got married to Anna Keller in September of last year, they pledged to God to have as many children as he would bless them with.  So I have been patiently waiting for Anna to get knocked up.  Waiting, waiting…searching the internet for any news…but nothing…until today!

This morning, the Duggar clan appeared on the Today Show to make a special announcement.  Anna Duggar is pregnant!  Yay!  I am truly happy for this young (very young at only 20) couple.  This is probably all she has ever wanted in her entire life.   On the Today Show appearance, Anna Duggar was glowing.  She looked so happy and so in love with her husband.  I cannot wait until I can feel this joy, even though I am 9 years their senior.  Anna told the world that she is 3 months pregnant, and is feeling great!  She is due on October 12, 2009.  The article in it’s entirety, and the video of the announcement can be found here.

I must say that the Duggar girls are looking a lot prettier these days.  They are all beautiful girls, but they looked dated and “amish-esque” with their hair permed and parted.  They have been wearing their hair straight lately, and looking rather ‘normal’.  Even Anna has improved since she married Josh.  She is still sporting the plastered down part though.  Now if we could only get them to toss the frumpy denim skirts and put on a pair of jeans, we’d be in business.  At least they are not donning the multicoloured, matching, horrible, “pilgrim-esque” dresses a la the Bates girls.  Le sigh…baby steps…baby steps.
